One of those halfhearted, 'cry for help' types and ended up getting a weekends worth of Baker Act. If you're not familiar with it, in Florida if you express thoughts of killing yourself or someone else the police can take you into protective custody. Actually, the drop you off at the Mental Health Center and the shrinks watch you for a bit. I am so thankful for the people who love me enough to do that to me. I managed to get some much needed perspective on life. Like the guy who's got advanced lung cancer and coughs up blood when he's not on medication. He fell off a 2 story building and broke several bones and even had a piece of his spine pressing against his spinal cord and his hands were stuck shut. They managed to fix that, but they said if he moves to suddenly he could be stuck without legs.

I behaved myself all weekend, spoke with a psychiatrist and am now taking Celexa to try and manage my depression until I can either beat it or figure out if it's clinical or situational. I'm hoping it's just situational and once I get back to work and back on my feet I can get off of it. The money for the 'scrip isn't that bad, but I still have to find a doc that will write the order up for me. ^_^ That's the expensive part. XD I got out on Monday and have been taking my meds like a good little loony.

Then on Tuesday I find out my Dad has Cancer. Not sure what types but the labs come back positive. It'll be a few more days until we know for sure. I think my heart stopped a couple of times yesterday. Everyone seems to be taking it okay, but I'm not around everyone that much. Mom & Dad are across town, sister is in another county. His mom (Memaw) is taking it okay too.

In good news, I have a job prospect Friday, and I have some new games to pass the time until I do go back to work.

So I realized, there's not much of a knowledge base for pinball. That and there's not enough room to give useful pinball tips on XBL messaging XD. This will be focused on PBFX2, but, translates to IRL tables as well.

Basics:

Read- Look at the table before you start. In PBFX2, it will give you a 'tour' of the table so you can check out the layout.

Skill Shots- Learn them, exploit them. You may not want to pull the plunger all the way back. PBFX has you covered there too, it will show you the path the ball will take to get to the skill shot. Some are trickier than others.

Catch- Hold down your flipper. The upturned flippers at the bottom is a nice place to catch the ball, review the table or just take a little breather. Not a good idea for multiball.

Light Advancing- Seems obvious, but when you have multiple targets to light (Veni Vidi Vici on the Rome table) you can press the flippers to change the lighted position. Makes it easier to build up multipliers and bonuses.

Multiball- Flip like crazy, and worry about keeping the balls in play more than aiming shots.

Events- after doing certain tasks like hitting a ramp or target will activate events. Events usually have scoring in the 500k-1m range and a completion bonus. Events are your friend, but figure out how to activate easier ones and avoid more difficult ones.

Table bumps- generally useless IRL and in game. There is only one place I use a table bump in PBFX2.

Ramps- Are your friends and your worst enemy. Hit it too weak and the ball may come rolling back into a hard to reach area for the flippers.

Paths- Similar to ramps but not raised.

Spinner- pretty self explanatory, hit the little sign that spins. The more rotations, the more points, power or whatever you get for hitting the spinner

Secrets of the Deep
Skill shot- This one's pretty easy. If the top (far right on the shot vid) target is lit, shoot full strength, if the bottom (far left) is lit, fill the dial to the red mark, but no further. For the middle target, there's a line most of the way through the red mark. Not too tricky of a skill shot.
Ramps- Left ramp activates the Kraken event, but can be avoided by using the Escape route. The escape route shows up after 3 or four times, and is activated by pressing A right before you get to the escape route spot. The Right ramp loads the submarine, and whenever you have a ball in the submarine the whirlpool at the bottom of the ramp advances the sub. The Far left ramp goes up to the sunken galleon area and will either drop you at the upper flippers or send you down the right ramp/whirlpool

Events-

Roar of the Kraken- Hard-Activate this one by shooting the near left ramp (the one with the giant squid on it) You basically have to hit all the ramps & paths if you don't you have to fix 4 breaches.

Breach- Run aground in 'Narrow Trench' fail Roar of the Kraken or don't go all the way up the right ramp will activate this one. 200k for the first fix, 400k for the second. shoot at the little blue lights in the lower field, they're magnet traps.

Mine Field- Shooting the far left ramp 2x in a row ( I think- not 100% on this one) activates 2 ball, shooting the flashing ramps will get you 1m.

Shark Attack- Shooting the targets in the upper area (the same one's you're aiming for on the skill shot. This activates 3 ball. shoot the far left path(not the ramp) to make the shark eat a ball (you get it back, don't worry) and shoot the other ramps for 500k apeice. Feed the shark 5 balls and get a 5m bonus.

Sunken Treasure - part 1- Shoot the targets. Part 2- shoot the targets and use the dangling ball to hit the raised targets. Part 3- shoot the dangling ball first, then shoot the lower targets. In part 3 if you hit the same lower target again the event resets itself

Abyss Multiball- Load and transport 3 balls using the sub. 1 new ball is shot into play, the 3 previous balls are released at the top of the table. Activated when the 3rd ball is finished transporting.

Narrow Trench- hit the spinner in the center, then get the ball into the top right corner of the upper area to activate. left flipper to go up, right flipper to go down. Pretty easy, 500k

Moray Eels- start same as Narrow Trench. Wait for the eels to move, then right flipper to advance.

General- shoot the upper left loop for a magna save. Be ready if you activate a magna save to hit flippers to advance the lights for the phrase TIDE. You can get the whole word in 2 magna saves if you advance right. The Crane/Samples are tricky, you want to move the crane using the flippers, however, don't start too soon. once you release the flipper the crane goes back.

BioLab

Skillshot- power all the way up. let the ball go around once and when it's on it's way around the second time use the Table bump (this is the only one I use) when the ball is almost right next to the right peg. nudge the stick to the right when you do. I get SS almost every time easy 1m

Ramps- These ramps are so twisted and convoluted I'm not gonna try to describe them all. The main one to look for is the one above the upper right flipper. This will help you get a multiball going.

Events-

Creature upgrade- Brains- Easiest. Get the ball thru the maze using flipper buttons to rotate it. 300k if you don't boost your upgrade score first by hitting the red bumpers at the top.

Creature upgrade- Wisdom- Skill shots. make 3 to complete it if you miss you have to shoot the ball back to the creature tank area to get back to the launcher.

Creature Upgrade- Muscle - not 100% sure on this one, but shoot ramps to make him more willing to work out, then press A to help him lift. I basically just keep hitting a and try to hit whatever ramps I can.

Creature Upgrade- Reflex - 2ball multi- to finish try to shoot both balls up the same path one after another.

Clone Multiball- 3ball multi. The Nurse will say 'Chamber pressure rising' then the doc will say 'Ready the clones' once doc says that, aim for the upper right flipper (that catch technique would help here) and flip the ball up the ramp directly over it. They'll stop about halfway down. All 3 balls are released at the bottom of that ramp.

General- Biolab is pretty easy to do for just random playing. Just keep the balls rolling. I don't know Biolab as well as the other tables, but IMO it's the easiest of the PBFX2 core tables to just play around with and get a good score. There's several events I'm not sure how to trigger and that I have not seen (escape and Ultimate creature overload multiball).

Pahsa

Skill Shot- one of the hardest. I haven't figured this one out yet, but you have 3 lights on the launch path. I'm not sure how much power for each light, but there's no benefit to going full strength for this one at all.

Ramps/Paths- The main one is the one behind the spinner. Go in from the spinner side to activate and power up the lamp. Go in the other way and it powers down the lamp. The main ramp splits into the Cave of Wonders once you hit certain targets, but you have to hit it near perfect to get into the cave. The Palace is the most difficult one to hit. I usually use the spinner path to get the ball to the upper left flipper and shoot from there, although you can hit it from the lower left flipper. You can go up the stairs right below the upper right flipper or through the towers/bumpers a little lower down.

Events-

Minigames

Save the Princess/Steal the Map- Your ball is placed in a circular room with a magnet on either side. alternate between right and left flippers to keep the ball going.

Fight the Guards/Protect the Caravan- The center portion of the table will slide back revealing a basement like area. you want to hit all the moving targets, plus the two guarding the exit (top center) to get the achievement or just aim for the two at the top center to complete the minigame

The Bazaar- It's the old shell game. follow the center cup (it's not too hard) and find the compass. Not sure how to activate, but it's a pain in the butt to get into once it's activated.

Regular Events-

Book of tales- if you hit the palace right you'll activate the book of tales. Once you do, hit the palace again. I usually get the flying carpet when I manage to hit it again. The flying carpet is tilted with the flippers, and the ball moves pretty fast so look which lights are lit on the flying carpet before the ball is dropped.

The Lamp/Multiball- Shoot the spinner once or twice at full speed and you should have the lamp activated. It glows blue and the girl announces the lamp is fully charged. Then shoot the 2 targets below the guy with the sword. The table will get dark, except for the purple panel in the middle will glow. Shoot the ball at the guy with the sword again to lock the ball. Reapeat 3x, the balls will be released at the bottom of the ramp. Aim for the lit paths to find treasure and once you've found enough you will start hiding treasure. I think the hiding part comes after you lose the other 2 and are back to single ball again.

General- Go for multiball, that's where I've scored the most points on Pasha is multiball. The trigger targets for Guard the Caravan is across from the upper right flipper. If you can shoot all the paths in the order that the compass presents them you can get a 5m bonus, if you shoot the wrong one, you need to find the oasis. The oasis is the spinner path. On a personal note, I think the lighting effect when you can lock a ball is awesome.

Rome

SkillShot- Full power is the only way to go. As you approach the upper left flipper after launch, try to shoot the ball into the statue that rotates in the middle of the screen for a million.

Ramps- Left and right. Shoot them to spell Conquer. Once spelled choose 'Southern Garrison' it's the easiest for the most points. Right ramp loads the siege tower once activated. In the upper area, hit the upper left flipper and send the ball around the upper area 2x in a row to unlock 'Blessed' and then shoot the right ramp to activate it. Follow the pointing arm...you'll see what I mean.

Events-

Mock Warfare- Hit the ball that's next to the right ramp 3x to activate the siege tower first. ( I always choose Mock Warfare over Justice) When the light next to either catapult is flashing red, launch. Do it 2x and multiball is activated. hit the ball next to the ramp again, hit the right ramp again, and you'll automatically fire another shot. Repeat 2 more times to activate a 3ball multi.

Conquer- Southern Garrison- Shoot the ramps enough times to spell conquer. once you activate it, shoot the Roman soldier for 1m, the center statue for 250k, and the pit next to the left ramp for 500k. once you make 5 shots, the center statue will rotate to the left for one last attempt. make that one and get 1m (it's similar to the skill shot) That's 6m if done correctly...and doesn't take that much time to set up, even if you don't complete it.

Conquer-Western Garrison- 2 ball multi. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to hit ramps to finish this one, but I never do.

Conquer-Coastal Garrison- Finish off that barge...aim for the right ramp.

Romulus multiball- Shoot the hole on the left side of the left ramp. There's somehting you have to do to activate it first, otherwise it triggers an annoying bonus that cancels conquer and other events. But shoot it enough times to light Romulus for a 3ball multi.

General- The scales behind the roman soldier will always place the ball in the left lane of the Veni Vidi Vici set. A little light advancing will get you quick multipliers. Souther Garrison can be repeated many times. If you shoot the ramps and get the dotmatrix image of the 2 guys fighting instead of spelling conquer- shoot this order: Left ramp, right ramp, far left path to get the bonus. They mispronounce Deus Ex Machina. Thats a K sound not a CH sound guys. (Mrs. Carpenter-Smith & Mrs. Turcotte would be so proud of me)

Excalibur

Skill Shot- don't have this one wired yet. you're aiming for one of the 3 lanes of DUB at the top.

Ramps- Excalibur is the main ramp in the center. there are 2 paths under the castle on the left side, and 2 ramps on the upper right. Far right is the most difficult, I can only hit it from the upper left flipper, but helps set up multiball. The center ramp goes one of 2 directions depending on which side of the sword the ball is on. The right ramp near the top gets you to the upper castle for duels and defend the castle and invading the enemy castle.

Events

King Arthur- Spin the round table near the upper left flipper and if it stops on Arthur you shoot the center ramp as much as possible to build power. If you have enough at the end, he'll pull the sword from the stone.

Percival- Start like Arthur, but you must first have a ball in Merlin's pot. You get a 2 ball multi, one ball is sparkly gold for some reason. I think the sparkly one is supposed to be Percival, and that's the one you want to use to shoot ramps.

Lancelot- Same a Arthur, but you have to find queen Guinevere in Mordred's castle. It has something to do with shooting the ramps when a certain torch is lit on the score display, not sure about this one

Sir Kay- Similar to questing beast event, but not sure how to finish it.

Joust- This one pops up randomly for me, but you go to a little section on the lower left. A marker moves up the slot while the knight figurine moves towards you. Time it so your ball and the light and the knight all meet at the same point.

Duel/Defend the Castle- Once activated shoot the upper right ramp to reach the castle walls, Keep hitting the ball at the targets without letting the ball fall off the top. The large knight moving left & right will eventually hit the ground with his mace, and you can ramp the ball off of that to hit him and win.

Questing Beast- Shoot the right ramp enough times and Merlin will put his staff in the way, and underneat the right ramp a green monster will appear. each hit is worth 500k.

Grail Quest- once activated, each ramp/path will light up in order. Shoot them in order to get the grail.

General: Lots to do on this table. Then when the rest of us finally found one in stock, it was no longer being included. Still upset about that 500 points? Nintendo has decided to make the Internet Channel free again, and is offering a free NES game from the Virtual Console if you had to pay for the Internet Channel. It is not a points credit, but a separate button on the Wii Shop channel for a freebie. I got Ninja Gaiden 2 (my fave of the trilogy) for my freebie. Be sure you get connected before October 31st. That's when the offer expires. ¬_¬ Don't seem too willing to be nice Nintendo...

Things I've Done...

So I got Batman:Arkham Asylum, GhostBusters (wii) and a new OS. I'm so done with mainstream websites. Oh and Sony's retarded. Make the PS3 retro compatible. I'd be willing to pay more for it if you did. Slim PS3's are not retro compatible. I can see the board meeting now:

Bob: Hey lets make our system retro compatible so everyone can still play their old stuff.
Joe: Oh yeah, that's a good idea. But lets only make the first run and most expensive ones retro so we can make everyone buy it when it's expensive. We'll make tons.

And yet the old PS2 is outselling the PS3? Morons. If everyone wasn't so damn interested in making green and got back to making games for the fun of it, maybe we wouldn't end up with stupid sequels and remakes constantly and get some truly unique games that are worth 60$, then another 10-20 for add-ons, and a little more for online access. Sigh. I miss the good old days when you got the whole damn game for 60 bucks and didn't need a new controller for new games.

Hey look what I did with my Meez dude. HA. All that power for nothing. (Not that I don't thoroughly enjoy my 360.) Midnight Club Racing has been my other main gamer project too, been having fun decorating the cars more than the racing. MC:LA is a lot harder than some of my usual racers, Gran Turismo & Need for Speed. Probably because like real street racing, you can go the wrong way! XD So now I'm watching Phineas & Ferb. He'd had to fight his way out of many rooms like this and knew his crew would be in the door in an instant to aid him. The last thing he'd want is to have more of his crew slain. "I fear I have a tale to tell, and it may be long. If you will all spare your blades, comments and decisions about my fate till I'm done I will answer for all of my crimes tonite..." He adjusted his bandaged leg, still sore from the night aboard the Tre Deep, and took a carved pipe down from a shelf above his berth. Puffing on his pipe, the smoke filled his cabin and wrapped everything in a dream. The others could see images of cities strange and beautiful as Tater began his story from the beginning-

In the times before the war werewolves held a particular place of honor in the vampire realms. They were never considered equals, more slaves than not, but always well treated by Nargash and his 13 children. You see each of the 13 chose a werewolf pup, and that pup became a constant companion. They would be trained in whatever uses the vampire needed of them. Combat, Magics, Politics, Sciences, the Arts...whatever their masters would have of them. Being taken from their mothers at such a young age the pups would imprint their new master as a parent figure and become fiercely loyal. Other vampires would take lycans as petslaves, but only the truebloods, those born of at least one lycan parent were allowed to belong to the 13. Tater himself had both lycan parents, something rare even in those safe times. Tater never imagined himself as a warrior or companion. He'd actually hoped to work for the Librarian, he'd slipped into the library on many occasions and flipped through the books of legends reading stories of the grand old guardian wolves. A simple life was all he'd needed or ever wanted. But fate had something far more interesting instore.

About his fifth birthday, Tater, along with several of his brothers and sisters were presented to Lord Nargash and his three youngest children. All the pups knew what a great honor it was to be chosen by one of the 13, or to be recruited for the Royal Guard. The older pups would fight amongst themselves or showoff their shapeshifting ability during the selection processes, but Tater, simply found a corner, and nuzzled down to wait it out. He was the smallest of the wolfpups, often teased and sometimes bullied he expected nothing less than being passed over. The youngest, Alucard proudly refused a pup. Claimed he'd have no need of a slave, or a body guard. Lord Nargash laughed and continued the process. Next would be Princess Lillith, fair skinned, raven hair, deep red eyes the colour of blood from a mortal wound. She promptly requested that Alucard's wolf be hers too but the great lord refused her, and it would be one of the last requests she would be refused. She settled for a great black beast named Nicodeamus, and here Lillith with her already large entourage left the royal chambers. The third child, Aurora was a kindly sort. Bored with power, looked for little more than a pet. Her time out of doors had given her an unusually dark complexion for a vampire, and her dark purple eyes could stun any mortal that fell in her gaze. While the other pups fought and changed and chattered away at her, she simply walked past them and picked up the sleeping Tater. " Father, I would like him" is all she spoke in the room, and took the still sleeping pup to her tower....

In the decades that followed Tater became less of a bodyguard and more of a pet. He preferred staying in the form of a wolf and never left his princess' side. Even when she would bathe, he would lie down just inside the bathroom door to be the first thing any intruder would find. He was trained in the combat arts, and learned a little of the mystic arts, should he or the princess ever be wounded. In their travels Tater earned the nickname 'Nibbles' from the odd greeting they had for each other. She would reach out her hand to him, and he would take it gently in his mouth. They lived happily together as master and companion for many years, and Nibbles learned a great many things from the many cultures and worlds they visited.

But then the darkness in her heart began to grow.

It began to happen after they'd settled on the outskirts of Nosferi. Back within the dark lord's realm of influence- She had wanted to live near her sister again Lillith. Nibbles tried to convince her otherwise- he'd had a bad feeling about Lady Lillith for many years. He'd done his best to keep track of her, and always tried to steer his mistress away from her influence. Lady Lillith had a panache for the dark arts. Sorcery, Alchemy, even dabbled into Necromancy. She also had the uncanny ability to talk her way into or out of anything she truly desired. Somewhere during the years she'd added another lycan to her entourage called Silvertounge. Wherever She was, her lycans were. Nicodaemus - muscle, brawn and instinct, Silvertounge- treachery, guile, and subterfuge. Some would even say Silvertounge would be behind the vampire wars.

It became time for the games. A time when the 13 families of vampire would gather and compete amongst themselves for glory and honor. The Pet slaves were also allowed games but theirs were almost exclusively combat. Nibbles detested these mock battles, and knew of treachery in the games. A friend of his was slain by 'accident' when Nicodeamus refused to accept the surrender. Accidents happen, but this was no accident. Lillith and Silvertounge whispered something to Lord Nargash and Nicodaemus was spared punishment. Nibbles worried about Nicodeamus and requested his master lay the required challenge. After a furious battle, Nibbles took Nicodaemus' left ear, and the tip of his tail. The crowds familiar with Lycan combat recognized this humiliation and gasped as Nibbles left the stadium. A single laugh rung out from the royal boxes. Oddly enough It was Alucard...

Being young and brash with his near invincibility the Vampire requested a duel with the triumphant Nibbles, "Nibble nibble little nibbles, but that wolf has no bite!" The crowds roared with laughter. The battle would ensue. The first 'sanctioned' fight between a vampire and a lycan. Dummy swords were called for, but Alucard waived them off, and requested that Nibbles be allowed to use his own weapons. With growing concern, Nibbles and Princess Aurora watched as Lady Lillith spoke something to Alucard, and that evil grin spread across his face. Nibbles took up his sword, and fought with Alucard honorably, not resorting to any of his own battle tricks. Long and viciously they attacked each other, until Alucard made one mistake. Nibbles had his blade across Alucards throat, and could have made the killstrike, Alucard grinning even at his own impending destruction. The princess called for Nibbles to stop, and at the sound of her voice dropped his sword and bowed to the noble vampire. Alucard rose to his feet, dusted himself off, and proclaimed to the Colosseum:" This is truly a great Guardian. Aurora was wise to choose him as her protector. Surely there is no other wolf greater." A close observer could have seen the daggers in the eyes of Lady Lillith.

"That was the day it all fell apart" Tater sighed and pointed his pipe at Alucard..."I'd blame you for it if I didn't know of Lady Lillith's treacherous nature. A couple of centuries later as the vampire's war against the humans began to wane we were headed back to our castle. It had been almost fifty years of warring, and we were only in touch with Princess Aurora by messenger..." The images in the smoke revealed a ship tossed by waves at sea. Captain Nibbles and the stalwart first mate Lass at the helm of a ship larger and more ornate than the Wolf-Shark. Alucard recognized it as a ship of the royal guard-On the deck the two friends bound by duty yelled over the gale:

Lass: Do ye think it's wise to leave the princess so far behind
Nibbles: No, It makes me worried. She's not been herself of late. Sending us to do an assassin's job in the dark of night. Her trophies have become more and more grisly and her taste for humans has gotten fierce.
Lass: Almost as if she were someone, or something else?
Nibbles: When we get to port, have the crew only retrieve their families. We'll be quit of this town until things settle down or our Princess is herself again.

"We made our port and as promised the crew all spread to their homes to retrieve family. Many had brought them to this city for protection. Human or not- they were at greater risk because of our allies and enemies. Before I went to the castle, I went with Jasper Bloodclaws to visit his great-grand-daughter and her family. There was little amiss in our town, blue skies a gentle breeze, even the birds were singing. But there was something deadly wrong. When we got to the old healers place we went in to find it in an odd shambled mess. His young descendant stood at the kitchen sink, arms slack, golden hair in a matted mess atop her head. In the dim light we could see her skin had taken the dull grey appearance of granite-stone. When she turned her head 'round we saw the sunken eyes, and heard her hellspeak gibberish. I plunged my sword handle deep in it's chest, only to have the monstrosity grab at my hand and try to attack. About that time we saw the rest of the family come stumbling out of a side room. All were greyskinned, slack, and gibbering. Old Jasper fainted at the sight and I returned him to the ship to find many of the crew returned with faces of disbelief, pain, anguish, confusion. "

"I feared for the worse when it appeared the entire town was under this curse. Looks like we'd stayed gone too long and some foul spell had claimed the souls of our entire town. The castle still showed some signs of life so I set my armor in place and set about finding my master for an answer. Under cover of night I stole into the castle dungeons, crept past cages of the grey skinned monsters. As I crept through the courtyard to the Royal towers I caught sight of something that would have been relieving, if it were not that night. I saw my master walking the castle parapets, with an escort on either side. Two lycan forms, I could not make the second one, but the clipped ear, and snub tail I could recognize in a drunken stupor in the middle of a sandstorm. Nicodaemus was at my master's side...I took a quick scent of the air. Worse yet- Nicodaemus and Silvertounge...but what would she have to do with them. With a quickened step I made my way to the towers and to her personal chambers."

"As I lay my paw on the handle of her door, I felt a vicously strong paw sink into the back of my neck and fling me backwards across the receiving room. As I found my own feet and slid back nearly to the wall I saw Nicodaemus step from the shadows. " I will have your claws as a trophy tonite. Your master no longer has need of a weak, puling pup like you!" He bellowed. Nicodaemus' black armour glinted in the moonlight as his shield swung round to the front, a wicked black spear with a silver tip dipped in a fatally poisonous mixture of wolfs'bane and arsenic. This was no game. "

The smoke offered images of their duel, Tater's blade glowing red with strange ancient runes, Nicodaemus's strength swung the great spear with a treacherous speed. Back and forth the two titans battled. Brute strength vs quick precise strikes. The smoke seemed to understand the ferocity of battle and slowed to show the killstrike. The huge black demon made a desperate stab at Tater, who allowed the spear to pass behind him- ducking under the crushing shield his blade passed neatly between the chest and shoulder of the right arm, causing the spear to fall meaninglessly to the floor. On the follow through stroke, Tater caught the tendons of the huge lycans' ankles and toppled him to the ground. Nicodeamus shrieked with a startling rage at Tater: "be done with your dancing weakling and do what you should have done eons ago." Tater obliged and neatly cleaved the head of Nicodaemus in two. Tater stared down at the ruined lycan corpse, removed two odd shriveled bits from a hidden pocket and returned the prizes he'd taken from it many years ago.

With the brawn out of the way, my attention returned once more to my rescue effort. 'Surely Lillith's treachery is behind this' I thought as I smashed the doors from their hinges. Then it hit me as solid and powerfully as a cannons shot. I rushed in to find Silvertounge at my master's ear. The evil lycan laughed and slowly slunk out of site. "Why do you return to me Nibbles?" Aurora asked. Dumbfounded I dropped my weapon to the stone floor and fell to my knees. "I fear we have misunderstood or angered you master. Our usual trips of mercy and espionage have turned to murder and treachery." A laugh so cold and heartless filled the room and my very bones with a cold dread. "It is all a wolf is good for you simpleton. You're no emissary, only a weapon to be unleashed and sheathed at my whim!" At the cold words of my master I flinched. It seemed the dark lord had taken sway over her after all. " Lillith " she demanded "he's killed your dear Nicodaemus in cold blood. Rid us both of this hassling little thing" With barely enough time to roll out of the way, l dodged the blade meant for my heart and saw Lady Lillith coming at me...same slack appearance as the golems in town. With an ease and a bit of pleasure I relieved it of it's head, arms and legs, pulled a blessed piece of oak from my pouch and plunged it into the golem's torso and it stopped moving. The Aurora clapped and laughed. "Now it is complete you fool." That cold, evil laughter filled the room again " Now that you've destroyed my former weaker body you cannot remove my soul from your precious Aurora"

"I don't understand" I stammered dumbfounded at what just happened. Then Lillith revealed herself fully to me. "I've always been jealous of your pitiful masters wonderful form. Her hypnotic eyes, ease with the peasants, and her resistance to sunlight. As if Ra himself had forgiven just her and let her roam in his light. I took her soul and banished her to a place where you , nor our fool King could retrieve her. I will bend all creatures to my will and those that will not obey will either be destroyed or enslaved like this pitiful little village." My rage peaked. With a speed I've never tapped before I'd removed the Aurora Demon's head mid taunt. I laid my sword at my side and wept over the closest friend I'd ever known. I knew full well what this action meant and had little time before nearly every vampire in the world would be after my hide. I heard her voice once again. Not the cold one, but the warm, friendly one I'd answered to for centuries. On a small table there was a glass sphere filled with an odd green liquid, and the Image of my precious Aurora.

She quickly explained what had happened, or as much as she understood. Lillith had found a way to transfer her soul using the heart as a vessel. The sorcery caused the heart to become nearly indestructible, but was useless without a body. From what she saw of the ritual, she could be restored, but her own heart had to be returned to her body. She wasn't sure of the incantation to rejoin soul and body though or where her heart was hidden. I undid the stitching that held her chest closed and removed Lillith's blackened heart and tossed the horrible thing from the window into the bay below. I carefully took the glass spheres from the table, the larger one, and three smaller ones that held a similar liquid. I gathered her cold little corpse in my arms and set about removing her from that dark place. It was then that Lord Alucard smashed through the large window to the south in a rare fury. "Traitorous beast of the fields. You had more favor in this land than some of the 13 Lords. How dare you lay your paws on two of my sisters? Aurora's death was mine to take and you will answer for your crimes" as he spoke he'd leveled two large pistols at my head. I was lost in the massive voids that were the ends of the barrels.

I recognized the blood rage in Alucards eyes and feared for my own life in that moment. I'd heard the rumors of his powers and didn't want to see them for myself. I knew he was wanted by the high court for stealing something from King Nargash and the former Lillith. If all the rumors were true, he'd been instrumental in King Nargash's fall. I didn't know why he'd want Aurora's death which he believed I'd stolen. I hoped I was faster than he and made a mad dash for the window. I heard the explosions from his weapons and felt the searing bullets tearing my flesh as I fell. I glanced back as I hit the ground and ran, I saw him leap from the window and unload both clips in my general direction. The calls of rage and fury as he pursued me through town haunted me for years. I made it to the ports with just enough time to warn the crew and have them off. Then I turned to face my impending death.

They say he sank an entire flotilla of human warships with the Black Mist, then rescued the survivors one by one only to break their arms, legs and backs before quenching his thirst with their lifeblood. There was a small island of simple villagers that was laid to fire because they mistook him for their returned deity. Entire families piled upon a single pike to bleed to death under the moon. I expected no such mercies. There was death in his eyes, and I knew I had to kill if I was going to leave this port. As he approached he doubled in size and seemed to be breathing smoke and fire. I tried to reason, explaining the cursed citizens and Lillith's plot. He heard nothing of my words and again leveled his two huge guns at my head. As he fired again I dodged and deflected as much as I could with my sword, but the hail of bullets was too much and I felt the belladonna mixture in the bullet tips begin to sap my strength. A few of my crew lept to the docks as our ship pulled away and two were simply swept away with a swipe of Alucard's arm. The third he caught by the head and simply squeezed. I would not let their loss be in vain and summoned the last of my strength. Whatever gods or demons watch over us in battle decided I should escape with my soul that night, and my blade passed through Alucard's neck. Not deep enough to kill, but enough to stun him long enough to get out of range. I looked back as hot coals were laid against my wounds to stop the bleeding. I watched in terror as Alucard rose and the Black Mist began to materialize in the harbor. Before I fell into a dazed sleep I ordered the crew to toss as much over as they could and fire at the sea wall's gate to try to trap the Mist ( or at lease slow him down ). About the time the crew cheered our escape I felt the belladonna kick in full force and fell into a deep an troubled sleep.

"When I woke again we were far to the north trapped in an iceflow. We hiked over the frozen waters for nearly three weeks before we found a small fishing village. There were just enough there to feed our crew before we set out further to the south. I can tell you that was the last innocent flesh I've eaten." The smoke from Taters pipe swirled about and faded away as the tired old wolf finished his story. The weight of years showed on his human face in the candle lit cabins. "I've held this secret from you for years Alucard. It was only to protect my master..." and he showed them the small sphere and Aurora's ghostly shape waved out from the glass smiling at the odd reunion with her favorite little brother.

DUUUUUDE! Pretty much a less involved myspace profile but tuned to gamers. If anyone ever says 'girls don't play games'; direct them here please. I think there's more girls than guys! You really should check it out-if you like gamers. Chock full of us. And pretty witty cats & kittens too.

I've also lucked out again and gotten a 360. WOo hoo! I've had it a while now- and have beaten 3/4's of it. Actually has a pretty steep learning curve...towards the end of your second playthru. Like most reviews- a 'hard' level would have been nice to start with instead of easy only. However- the graphics aren't as polished, but it's more about the play. You scribble all over the touch screen to attack. Different angles will get different types of swipes- so you develop a few moves along the way too. I also got Contra 4 back from my nephew, and the challenge is awesome! 32/40 challenges down, and most of the way thru Normal mode. So, technically I still haven't beaten it. I also finished off EBA on all modes/all songs woot! E mail me if you add me on!

House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return is a lightgun game. A shooting gallery with zombies. And who doesn't love laying waste to a swarm of zombies? Very gory so not for the faint of heart. The graphics are a little dated, & the acting is crappy. But who cares! It's a great alternative to Wii Play's shooting gallery.

River City Ransom is perfect, right down to the shabby password system...Barf! ( It's an old Nintendo game where you fight bullies to save your girlfriend.)

I'll post later about Ninja Gaiden. Typing on a Wii is a pain.

So I've been playing Final Fantasy 6 Advance on my DS. 'Tis awesome as it was 10 yrs ago. Other than some new names to items, monsters, and spells I haven't seen any of the new stuff. I wonder if the Gau glitch still works. The new translation lends itself well to the opera.

Also been playing Need for Speed: Carbon. Finally finished the challenges, but still have some reward cards to win...disable 50 in one pursuit. Yeesh. I like the selection of cars, but a few more visual effects would have been cool.

Contra 4 on the DS is as good as it's always been. Even better. I got the original Contra & Super C! I haven't quite baeten it all the way, only on easy so far but I have gotten past over 30 of the challenges. The shift from one screen to the other is distracting and has cost me a life or two, but makes more room for action.

Once again we open up my mind and find there's nothing inside. And this is why you don't drink and rhyme. Seriously. Anyway, the story is that I was freehanding in my book that I'd been copying my poetry into neatly, and made a mistake, had to scribble it out. So the inspiration hit, I rubbed my thumb in the Dorito crumbs I was munching on and planted a big greasy orange spot right in the middle of the page. This is one of my favorites. Born on April 30, weighing in at 8lbs 2.8 oz. The latest of
the Tater-tots has arrived and is so much fun to have around. He smiles alot in his sleep. (Or has gas- whichever you want to think.) Me and Christina are getting very little sleep-which comes with the territory!! =D

If you haven't noticed there's been a few cosmetic changes to the blog, not much just rearranging some details. I'd post more if I could keep from forgetting my login & password too. XD I like the looks of the new password and login system. Now I can just use an email address WOO! There's a couple of other 'sites' that I've played with. Myspace is still the same. Send me a note if you have one and need some more friends in your list. I've just started randomly adding peoples. I have a 'Live Space' too, Right now I don't have a picture link to it but that should be added in a few days. It's still no wheres near completion but like with MySpace, send me a note and I'll add you on there too!

Now on to the juciest info! The proverbial poop has definitley been hitting the fan around here though. Lightning strikes, Babies, Job losses, and starting school. We took a fairly direct lightning strike back in February frying the majority of our electronics along with a bunch of our appliances. The landlord was awesome and replaced all the appliances (including our microwave), we've replaced some of the electronics but not everything yet. Next up I got fired. D'oh! Ah well. Obviously I was tired of doing the job because I was messing around more than working. Shoulda quit before the got to me huh? HA! oh well. It has inspired me to get my sorry ass into an online college to try to get an Associates Degree, along with some medical coding training. I may take a slight detour into Massage Therapy instead to get into some more money quicker. Speaking of- the money situation-while tight is fine. No need for donations. Unless you want to ;) XD

Lastly- WII FOR THE CONSOLE WAR WIN. Sony will fall.

NEW STUFF!

Okay, So with a few emails and some heat from a lot of different places- there is once again one GAMERDAD! woohoo!...XBOX.com changed it to XboxDad. Gamerdad is not a new idea. It's been around since 2003, content focused game reviews, and a thriving forum group. Several hundred game reviews, and the only place you can find the Kid Factor. That extra special part of the reveiw where we tell you what to watch out for, how a game might encourage good behaviors as well as some of the bad ones. Hey, maybe there's an educational slant in it. One of my favorites was *myself* getting introduced to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms through Dynasty Warriors. There's a review of DW on there too. In the forums you'll find Andrew Bub, and all his reviewers if you have a question about a game and even some advice on games they play with thier kids.

I'm not gonna harp on Xbox.com about this too much, it's good that they're trying to help the industry, parents and themselves. Some parents might not have heard about the original
Gamer Dad site, and Xbox.com is a good start for parents of Xbox owners. I think the best and most respectable way for them to handle this would be a simple name change. I've suggested "GameFather". Body armor is available by taking it or buying it. and you must obtain a steed as well. Visiting the local barmaids help you heal. you must increase your stats to gain new skills. you take on missions from other lords as you gain in power and skill. There are a few games that have certain albums tied in my brain just like that.

LETS REVIEW SHALL WE?
To start with, lets review a classic...Crystalis, a great old RPG that I had back in the Nintendo days. Now the music that is programmed into my head is The Simpsons Sing the Blues. Yes you read that right. The Simpsons Sing the freakin Blues. For the record, I had more than one MC Hammer album too.

The next couple are a little more uh...appropriate and will meet with more approval than that last one. F-Zero was a Super Nintendo Racing game that I'd rented a couple of times. The music that I loved with this game was side A of the Faith No More album called The Real Thing. I say side A, because I had both the tape & the CD. Usually I'd only play long enough for that first side, the game& music didn't match up as good for the second side.

Another classic was the Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past. Oh and I can hear the fanboys now: " Oh why did you cover the wonderful music?" Dude...ROFL. Okay, this one gets a special mention because of the wonderfully natural synching between the music and the game itself. Like the mythological synching between Darkside of the Moon & The Wizard of Oz. Creepy close. What is this magical song you ask? Enter Sandman by Metallica. (I'd link it but I'd get sued by Lars.)

More recently, since I've been married, the games & the music have gotten to be odd bed fellows. I've surrendered the audio on a lot of games to my wife, who would prefer music other than game music. Castlevania:Symphony of the Night on the Playstation was a great game & music in its own right, but I have a Loreena McKennit CD ground into my head on that one.

Lastly, and most recently, and still a little bit painful-is Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I had the XBOX version. Every time my wife plays the latest Fiona Apple CD I can literally see, and feel the game playing. My thumbs dancing around the controller-my character kicking arse all over the screen. Thieves suck. Anyway- that's the last of my connections- for now- as I find and program other games & music into my brain-I'm sure you'll hear about it.

Puppies For Sale
Chihuahua puppies for sale in the Jacksonville Florida area.
Email me t8-r@hotmail.com if you want details.

AH the death of posts... So we recently got cable going, and there's actually interesting sports on. Road racing, hockey futbol ....yeah fut bol on the spanish channel no better way to watch the international sensation we call soccer. BUT THEY CHANGED THE ANNOUNCER! I'm sure you've heard it...GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!! He doesn't do it the same, or after all these years they've changed the announcer. Much to my chagrin ( I love that phrase) when USA scored a goal against Italy today, the announcer starts in: GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!GOAL!.........*gasp* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
needless to say I was thouroughly disappointed (spelling on that LOL-I really don't care)so I flipped over to an english language channel to keep watching.

Go 'Canes ...good luck game 7...looks like I've chosen my team. Hey c'mon the other guys are from Canada.

ROAD & TRACK
So I was watching racing today, as usual it was NOT the one that only turns left. But anywho as we watched the cars come down a straight, and a slowing turn, the blockades were clearly marked GRAN TURISMO 4 which was my favorite racing game up until my PS2 got stolen (see a few blog posts back). Anyway, one of the cars pulled into the pits, with Playstation markings, and the pit crew's uniforms had the GT4 logo on the back. I thought that was nifty as heck.

Hey Folks! They might get part of it, but not the whole thing if you know what I mean. My first thought was a "thief-proof" entertainment center: solid oak construction, internal hinges, and a full wooden back, with only enough room to put a few cords. Or perhaps running a cord to the bottom of the stand, that comes out the bottom so the only thing they could take would be the extension cord. I need to ask my brother in law if he's still building furniture!

Now more rationally speaking, and not having to rearrange furniture, there's some easier things you can do. Most obvious: don't display your prize games on a bookshelf, or at least not with the disc in them. If only I still kept all my games in a CD wallet. I used to, back in the Playstation days. The people that hit our house left the two CD wallets that we have our CD collection in, and a wallet full of demo discs. Another thing, don't keep the controllers plugged in, it may only slow them down, but put the controllers out of site when not in use. Actually any of the accessories stash in a different room. Memory Cards, steering wheels, guitars...

For those that can afford it, set up a lockable game room. Don't just settle for indoor doors, get yourself a solid wood or aluminum outside door. That way they can't just smash in the poster board that most inside doors are made of. That way you can keep all your stuff handy, and really piss them off wondering-what is behind that door!

I'm dealing with the loss okay, and have plans to get stuff replaced. I'm not gonna mention what or when, and we've got the property managers putting in new doors/locks/dead-bolts for us. If you want, I'll be glad to accept offers of equipment or games hehehe...actually you can contact me if you've got a collection or equipment you're looking to sell for relatively cheap. I won't pay original purchase price, but I'll likely give you more than EB games will for your trade in.

L8R T8R's

Some where in this world there's one happy asshole.

So we went swimming today, as per our usual saturday afternoon routine, down at the community pool. When we get back. Guess whats missing? About 600$ worth of gaming equipment. My Xbox, 7 games, my ps2 and about 20 games, asshole took my kid's Gameboy too. We've done what we can, called the cops, made a statement & we're going to hit the pawn shops over the next couple of weeks and see if it shows up. If it does, we'll be able to get it back since we have the serial#. They didn't take our SNES, N64 or the Atari, which gives me & the kids something to play with until we can replace. And that is a small comfort since those would be considerably harder to replace. Nothing was really broken, other than our sense of security, and that's the worst part of it all. I can replace most everything, but that's going to take a while to fix.

One more thing!~ MOST of our PS2 games have a small letter "B" written on the Playstation 2 logo. If you end up with one of these, drop me a line I'm curious to see how far they get. I'll even pay you something if you wanna send it to me ^_^

So anyway, sorry about the short & wierd post...

In my quest to releive boredom, I've found a little online RPG, called Monster's Game, The Battle Between Vampires & Werewolves. Myself being a long time child of the moon signed up with the Werewolves, the Dread Captain Nibbles! So I get to build a hideout, start my very own Werewolf clan, and randomly hunt & fight the Vampires. If you click on the link over there (the blue one)you can join me in my quest to rid the internet of vamps. Or if you're a bloodsucking mutant flea-click the reddish one to be a vampire.

So I'm starting this blog thing again.

w00t? yhea whatever so here we go-

I've been Playing this wierd werewolf vs vampire thing, I'm Captain Nibbles.

I just got Jaws:Unleashed and it's cool

tadaaaaa....I blogged. w00t.
